Client: Ignite Architecture Inc

Expertise: Structural Engineering

Ignite Architecture chose us for our proven ability to deliver value, innovative engineering solutions, and strong regulatory coordination.

Project Overview

Capacity Engineering is serving as the Structural Consultant for the design of a new two-storey medical office located along Manotick Main Street. The project requires a thoughtful and cost-effective approach due to challenging site conditions, including significant grade changes along the property line.

To meet these constraints, our team is developing a gabion-cage mass retaining wall system, a durable, flexible, and efficient solution that provides the required grade support while substantially reducing construction costs compared to conventional cast-in-place retaining structures. This approach aligns with the project's budget goals without compromising safety, performance, or long-term durability.

Our structural work supports Ignite Architecture’s vision for a modern, welcoming medical facility built on a foundation of practical engineering and efficient land use.
